The Anker Astro3 External Battery Tops it’s Competition by 10-Percent

Anker, creator of reliable, affordable electronic accessories and support devices, introduces the second generation Astro3 external battery. The flask-sized Astro3 packs a high-capacity 12,000mAh battery and three USB ports that can charge to up to three devices with a total of 4A.
While most external battery packs have ports dedicated for Apple or Android devices, the Anker Astro3 features a Smart Port that self-adjusts after identifying the type of device connected. The other ports work as a universal charger for most 5V USB devices, including Apple smartphones and tablets. The Astro3 also offers full-speed charging Apple and Samsung tablets.
The Anker Astro3 has no buttons! Shake the device to start charging or to see the remaining power. Gone away are the LED indicators showing which 25% bracket of power is left. The Astro3 has a circular LED power indicator dial that shows you exactly how much is left with no guessing.
The icing on the cake is that the Anker Astro3 is 10% more efficient than other external batteries, consuming only 20% instead of 30% of its own energy.
“As part of our flagship line of Astro External Batteries, the new Astro3 is easy-to-use, affordable and bridges the Apple / Android divide to deliver truly full-speed charges no matter the device,” said Steven Yang, Anker Founder and Chairman. “To do this, the battery pack features a unique smart chip that adjusts USB pin signals to access and accommodate the connected mobile device’s true full-speed charging current.”
The Anker Astro3 second generation is available on Amazon.com.
