Antivirus software is not just a program, but way beyond than that!
Usually, users download, install this application and then, forget about
it. However, this software silently sits in your system. It prevents
every threat that is trying to invade your system, scans and treats the
virus or malware that is already affecting your system.
Antivirus software is one of the major needs of your system, which is
why you need to choose your antivirus software wisely. Here are the
best features to look out for before choosing your antivirus software:
On-Access scanning
This is the kind of scanning, for viruses, which goes on every time you access a file. Also, when a file is downloaded, antivirus software will perform the on-access scanning to check for virus.

Heuristic scanning
Heuristic scanning happens when the application comes across a new kind of virus. Whenever, a new virus is found, antivirus software will run a thorough scan of your computer, to find whether the system has been affected by this new virus.

Schedule scanning
A routine scan will definitely, slow down your system. It becomes yet worse, when you’re working on the system. To avoid this problem, you can set your antivirus for scheduled scanning. So, this schedule scan will run at the time, when you want it to without any disturbance.

On-demand scanning
On-demand scanning is the scanning that you can set to run, anytime you want to. If you see your system behaving weird, you can go for an ‘on-demand’ scanning to know if there is any virus attack. This scan will not affect your scheduled scan.

consider in case of any software. It becomes very important, when it is
antivirus software because developers come up with frequent virus
threats. To fight against those viruses, it is needed that you have
up-to-date antivirus software. Antivirus software may get your system
slower, but it is crucial to have antivirus software in your system.
